11th Cedars Run set to take place in Montreal’s TMR
The 11th Cedars Run for Ovarian Cancer will take place today in the Town of Mount Royal to honour its founder, Dominique Dagenais.
Dagenais passed away in March 2025. Before her cancer diagnosis in 2015, Dominique was a passionate long-distance runner and athlete. Alongside her husband, Stephen, and their son, Maxime, she created the Dagenais Joly-Smith Fund, which has raised more than $1.2 million for the DOvEEgene Research Program.
Every year, the event aims to raise funds for the DOvEEgene Research Program, which has helped develop a revolutionary genomic Pap test that can detect ovarian and endometrial cancers as early as stage 1.
The run will bring together families, friends, hospital employees, cancer patients and cancer survivors, who will participate in a 2-kilometre walk, a timed 5-kilometre run or a timed 10-kilometre run.
