Food, drinks & live music: New concept coming to Covington

COVINGTON, Ky. (WXIX) – Covington residents will say “goodbye” to the former ACME Lock building soon as Cincinnati-based developers make way for a new project.

A new bar, restaurant and live music venue will replace the former business, turning the unfinished garage space and hardware store into a multi-purpose concept.

A Cincinnati real estate group, Comey & Shepherd Realtors, brokered a deal with Blue Ridge Holdings, LLC and the Louisville-based bar Galaxie to redevelop the space, located at 815 Madison Ave.

“Galaxie is a modern take on the classic neighborhood bar,” said owner Thor Morgan. “We are excited to expand our interstellar brand to the Cincinnati area and join the momentum of Covington’s redevelopment.”

This fall, customers will find various margaritas and a unique food menu with a collection of “eclectic” music from the Galaxie brand.

“815 Madison represents a high level of opportunity for the continued growth & development in Covington’s urban core. Galaxie in Louisville has been incredibly successful and is bringing their entertainment concept to Covington as part of their growth strategy in Kentucky,” said Christopher Pfeiffer, principal of The Pfeiffer Group and Realtor for Comey & Shepherd Realtors.

An opening date has not been set yet, however, the venue is set to be ready for customers in the fall.
