New Aspire Amex lounges open in Calgary and Montréal

American Express and Aspire launched a new lounge at Calgary airport today, with another coming to Montréal by early 2027. Eligible cardholders get priority access and tableside dining. The expansion builds on last year’s Montréal debut, which saw over 50,000 visits.

The Calgary lounge opened September 16 in the domestic terminal at YYC, serving flights within Canada. A second lounge will open in Montréal’s transborder departures area by early 2027, catering to U.S.-bound travelers. Both locations offer buffet and tableside meal service for eligible American Express Cardmembers.

This marks the second phase of the co-branded Aspire Amex network, following the 2025 Montréal launch. Aspire, part of Swissport International, operates under American Express’s Global Lounge Collection, now covering over 1,550 lounges across 140 countries. Priority access and waitlist privileges apply to qualifying cardholders.

Why it matters

Travelers holding eligible Amex cards gain more North American lounge options without extra fees. Access expands to key Canadian hubs, improving comfort before domestic and U.S.-bound flights with enhanced dining and guaranteed entry.
